I won a National Scholastics Silver Medal Award for my drawing "I Killed The Wolf"!! Ceremony at Carnegie Hall in NYC, here I come!
Anyhoo, on other news, I got my own booth for the school art show on April 14th! Yeeehaw.
Annnnd also, introducing my new doll: Accalia for my Latin II class:
So my darling here was sculpted out of FIMO flesh colored clay in the original formula (not the new soft one) and boy, it gives a beautiful surface but FIMO is rather difficult, you can't just mold a nose onto it, everything has to be mold from the piece of clay you have.
Sewed her outfit on a drawing manikin and originally it was to look like this...but the end result differed, as her palla was tied along with her toga, together.
Her body was made out of fabric stuffed with rice grains.
This blue stuff dangling from her palla was part of an earring I owned and I broke it up into pieces to attach to her palla. (It's also the earring I used as one of the hair ornaments on my other doll Empress Sempiternal Dalliance)
My darling is very androgynous, personally, I preferred her as a fragile unicorn boy named Helios. Isn't he absolutely darling with bubblegum hair and that fragile expression?
